Valley West Building Exterior

Valley West is an independent, locally-owned veterinary practice in Charleston, WV, that has been serving pets and their owners throughout the Kanawha Valley area for more than 45 years. Thanks to high-level care, skilled doctors, compassionate technicians and unmatched customer service, Valley West's clientele has grown so much that the practice has expanded its facilities twice to meet the rising demand of those who trust us to care for their beloved pets.

Completed in 2019, the latest expansion includes a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility that triples our size and adds the latest technology in animal care, including an orthopedic surgery suite, ultrasound, sophisticated dental radiology and a Cat-Friendly Practice Gold Standard Certification. From routine checkups and minor injuries to advanced surgery and emergency treatments, Valley West is one of the region's most trusted veterinary hospitals.

Dr. Tom Isaac is hands down the best vet in Charleston. Compassionate and knowledgeable, he's everything you'd want out of a veterinarian. The staff members are also helpful and courteous.

I have 2 large dogs and bring them here for their check ups. I've never had anything but a positive experience. Every time I visit, others seem to be just as pleased with the services as I am.

Sarah C.

I have taken many pets here through the years and their service is excellent!

Christy W.

I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Sweet staff and great doctors.
