After many years of caring for pets, supporting their families, and helping shape Valley West Veterinary Hospital into the practice it is today, Dr. Amy Keith has retired from her regular role with our team. Her compassion, dedication, and commitment to veterinary medicine have touched the lives of countless pets and the people who love them. As she begins this exciting new chapter, Dr. Keith looks forward to spending more time with her family and pursuing her passion for teaching. We are incredibly grateful for all she has contributed to our hospital and community, and we wish her happiness in this well-deserved next adventure.
Dr. Keith spent her undergraduate years at West Virginia University and graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. In keeping with her past summers spent at Valley West, she took a position with the practice as soon as she completed her studies. In 2007, Dr. Keith partnered with Dr. Isaac to purchase the practice.
Dr. Keith is from Charleston, WV. She is a member of the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and Feline Veterinary Medical Association.
Her special interests include dermatology, ophthalmology, and feline medicine.
Dr. Keith is married to Steven Keith, Charleston Daily Mail’s The Food Guy. Together they have three children, and a puppy named Stella and a cat named Tom Tom. When she's not at the hospital, she enjoys cooking, traveling, helping her kids with sports, and community activities.
