Shelia has been a member of the Valley West Customer Service Team since 2000 and has been greeting pet owners for 18 years. She loves cats and her interests include reading and gardening.

Kristen Sedlock

Customer Service Team

Kristen has been on our Customer Service Team since 2009. Kristen has three cats named Tabby, Ziggy and NuNu, and she also has a Labrador Retriever named Toasted Marshmellow. Kristen's interests include spending time with family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, attending her son's baseball and basketball games, and taking Toasted Marshmellow for walks.

Margaret Bowman

Customer Service Team

Margaret has been greeting pet owners at Elk Valley Veterinary Hospital since 2004. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with clients. She currently does not have any pets of her own, though she does enjoy spending time with her grand-dogs and four grand-cats.

Margaret enjoys going on cruises, shopping, kayaking, spending time with friends and family, and spoiling her two grandsons, Jaxon and Luke. She really enjoys attending her grandsons' sporting events.

Marsha began working with us in 1998 and has 15 years of experience.

Stephany Bryant

Customer Service Team

Stephany has been a member of our Elk Valley Customer Service Team since 2013. She has 2 dogs named Chester and Dahlia and 3 cats named Ewok, Hicks and Rocco. Stephany's interests include working on family trees, watching movies, and reading.

Vanessa Coleman

Registered Veterinary Technician, Office Manager

Since starting in 2000, Vanessa has worked at both of our locations. She graduated from Fairmont with an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology in 2001, and she is currently a member of the Elk Valley team as a Registered Veterinary Technician and office manager. Vanessa has two dogs, a Jack Russell mix named Buddy and an Australian Shepherd mix named Stoney. She also has two cats, Shadow and Lula Rose. Her interests include traveling, attending her children's sporting events, singing in the car, and reading a good book with her cats snuggled on her lap.




Beth Martin, RVT,VTS-Dentistry

Registered Veterinary Technician Dental Specialist

Beth began working with us in 2008 and has 9 years of experience. She has recently graduated from The Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians with a specialty degree in Dentistry.

Bridga Stricker

Registered Veterinary Technician

Bridga is a Registered Veterinary Technician at our Elk Valley location and she has been with us since 2008. She has two cats named Gizmo and Frankie, and her interests include hiking, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with family.

Daphne Brown

Registered Veterinary Technician

Daphne has been a member of our Elk Valley team since 1998 and is currently the Head Veterinary Technician and Cat Advocate. She graduated from Fairmont State University with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 1999.

Daphne has over 20 years of experience with the Elk Valley team and her love for animals and pet owners grows every year.

She has three cats named Tadpole, Pica Boo, and Coconut Belle, and a Jack Russell Terrier named Peanut. Daphne enjoys attending soccer and basketball games with her son and going on Caribbean vacations with her family. When she's not at work, you can find her outdoors near water or cheering on the Mountaineers.


Kate Hanshaw

Registered Veterinary Technician

Kate has been a member of the Valley West team since 2011 and is currently working as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She attended the Carver Career Center and Bridge Valley to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2012. Kate has two dogs named Gypsie and Quincy and three cats named Mater, Kitten and LoKi Rex. Her interests include anything baby (two-legged or four-legged), being artsy (crocheting, painting, drawing), being outdoors (fishing, fourwheeling, hiking, etc), and yoga (acro, aerial and mat).
