Meet Our Team

Carly is a Registered Veterinary Technician and started working with us in 2024. She graduated from Carver Career and Technical College in 2014. She enjoys improving pet health through preventative care and wellness exams. Carly has 4 dogs named Willow, Harley Quinn, Dutton, and Kaiser.

Daphne has been a member of our Elk Valley team since 1998 and is currently the Head Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Fairmont State University with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 1999.

Abigail is a Registered Veterinary Technician that has trained and worked at Elk Valley since January of 2022. She received her degree at Carver Career and Technical College.

Beth began working with us in 2008 and has 16 years of experience. She graduated from Fairmont State in 2004 as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Bridga has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at our Elk Valley hospital since 2008 after she graduated from Fairmont State University. She enjoys working with both small and large animals.

Kate has been a member of the Valley West team since 2011 and is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She attended the Carver Career Center and Bridge Valley to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2012. She enjoys working with neonates or orphaned baby animals.

Kat has been in the veterinary field since 2012 and has been a part of the Valley West team since April 2021. She recently earned her Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Bridge Valley Community College.

Laura is from Shrewsbury, WV. Her love for animals encouraged her to join the Valley West team in October 2021. She has a cat named Jinx and in her spare time, enjoys reading and traveling.

Shawna joined our client service team at Valley West in October 2023. She has 22 years experience in horse back riding and has 3 horses of her own. She also has 4 dogs, 3 cats, cows, chickens, geese, donkey and fish. She enjoys spending time on the farm, caring for her animals.

Jen has been at Elk Valley since 2020. She has 10 years experience in veterinary medicine. She works as a receptionist and also assists the technicians.

Kelsey has been a member of the Valley West team since January 2017 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Nutritional Sciences from West Virginia University. She has a Chihuahua named Gypsy and a cat named Zorro.

Kim joined the Elk Valley team in 2021. She works as a receptionist and has a total of 17 years and counting of experience in customer service in veterinary medicine. She is passionate about her job but loves the clients and pets even more.

Kristen has been on our Customer Service Team since 2009. Kristen has two cats named Ziggy and NuNu, and a Labrador Retriever named Toasted Marshmallow.

Margaret has been greeting pet owners at Elk Valley Veterinary Hospital since 2004. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with clients. She enjoys developing meaningful relationships with both our clients and our patients. Her goal is to make a difference every single day.

Madyson joined the Valley West team in February 2023. Madyson has two cats named Onyx and Triton, and a bearded dragon named Excalibur. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, niece and nephews.

Shelia has been a member of the Valley West Client Service Team since 2000 and has been greeting pet owners for 24 years. She loves cats and has two of her own, Whiskers and Sammy U. Her interests include spending time with family, reading and gardening.

Traci joined the Elk Valley Customer Service Team in September 2018. She graduated in May 2016 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Biology in Animal Science.

Katie grew up in Jackson County working with and showing animals at a local fair. She began working with Valley West in June 2021 after having her first child.

Tanesha is from Florida but moved to Charleston and began working at Valley West in January 2022. She loves animals and has worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years. Tanesha has 2 dogs and 4 cats. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading and spending time with family.

Hannah started working at Valley West in January 2023. Her love for animals inspired her to obtain a Certified Veterinary Assistant degree from Animal Behavior College in May 2023. She enjoys assisting pet owners and patients in rooms and learning about different treatments.

Sydney has been working with Valley West as a Veterinary Assistant since November 2022. She has always loved animals but also loves the science behind the medicine.

Fiona joined the Valley West team in February 2022. She has always loved animals and has experience with many different types of animals since growing up on a farm in Roane, WV. She has barrel raced and shown horses since 2011. Fiona has 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 horses, a rabbit, and a ferret.

Madi joined the Valley West team in July 2022. She is currently enrolled at Carver Career Center for her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She has a special interest in Pharmacology and Small Animal Nursing, and is a member of NAVTA and Fear Free Certified.

Carly joined the Valley West team in October 2014 as a veterinary assistant after earning her Bachelor's degree in Natural Science. She has four dogs named Matty, Ava, Rufus and Scarlet as well as three cats named Bernie, Morris, and Missile Launcher.

Marsha began working with us in 1998 and has 26 years of experience.

Dr. Isaac was born and raised in Charleston, WV.

Dr. Keith spent her undergraduate years at West Virginia University and graduated from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992.

Dr. Amy Isaac received her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 2002.

Dr. Leadmon attended West Virginia State University for her undergraduate years, and then went on to graduate from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.

Dr. Katie Kobyra received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from Purdue University in Indiana and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Marshall received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University in 1976.

Dr. Tupta was born and raised in Charleston, WV where she graduated from Charleston Catholic High School in 2011.

Vanessa started at our Elk Valley location in 2000 and received her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2001. She became the Office Manager in 2015 and then became the Practice Manager at Valley West in late 2020.

Stephany has been a member of our Elk Valley Customer Service Team since 2013. She first joined us as a customer service representative but has since taken on the role of office manager as well.
